Krischanitz Kollektion bentwood

Krischanitz Kollektion Bentwood

Bentwood is used not just as a light and elemental base material but also as a design element for creating four types of furniture with striking traits and specific uses and connotations. The daybed with its slender, rectilinear and low bentwood frame and flat geometrical stitched leather upholstery stimulates focused contemplation. In comparison, the chairbed with its body-moulded wave form and stretched mesh brings respectability to languorousness. Design: Adolf Krischanitz, Vienna

Description

"bentwood no. 03" veers between a chair and an armchair. The fully leather-upholstered backrest and seat is produced from a single piece of bentwood. The feet and armrests - each forming a side - are also bent from one piece. The "bentwood no. 04" is the younger, somewhat taller brother in the collection.
