stand up

Elegant, flexible, space-saving

The foldable stand up table named stand up is the only one whose design is so outstanding that it need not hide itself under a tablecloth, as the jury of the Architektur & Office innovation prize testified. The folding mechanism ensures ease of use and can also be released effortlessly by untrained staff. The convex curved three-legged underframe allows for very tight gaps when stacked away and minimise required storage space. The three-legged design results in high stability without becoming a tripping hazard. The table tops are made of Resopal and are therefore scratch-resistant, lightfast and resistant to cigarette burns. stand up received the iF Design Award in 2005 and is also the recipient of the Architektur & Office innovation prize.

Description

stand up
  • The precision-machined hinge made of 30 % glass fiber-reinforced polyamide is remarkably easy to handle and provides a very firm frame-to-tabletop connection

  • Shaped with a convex bend, the curved legs allow tables to be arrayed very closely together so that they take up little storage space

  • The three legs provide added stability without posing a tripping hazard

  • An extremely robust 30 % glass fiber-reinforced polyamide sleeve connects the pillar to the legs

  • Tabletops are faced with Resopal, a tough material that is remarkably resistant to scuffing, UV rays, and cigarette burns

  • The tabletops are printable, with their inherent resistance to scuffing, UV rays, and cigarette burns remaining intact

  • Chrome plating is deposited in a very thick 25 µ layer to create a tougher finish that is better protected against corrosion. The poly-coat finish consists of a 300 µ-thick layer of powder coating applied using the whirl sintering method. This exceedingly thick layer provides a very robust finish and affords added protection against corrosion

  • stand up received the iF Design Award in 2005 and is also the recipient of the Architektur & Office innovation prize
